Yummy Tummy

Homemade marinade for anything and everything
Take about 2-4 tablespoons of oil(depends on how much meat you have) and mix with your favorite seasonings. I like garlic powder, basil, thyme, and a small amount of parsely. You can use any of your favorite seasonings. Remember this rule of thumb, IF IT SMELLS GOOD, IT WILL TASTE GOOD. Thyme has a minty sort of smell, but it is delicious on chicken and pork. And there you have it. Now it wont be as thick as any normal marinade you buy, but they always add in extras that aren't necessary. You don't really need all the extras. These are simple recipes to make it easier on you when you cook. You can bake, fry, whatever with this marinade! Enjoy!

Easy Peasy garlic chicken bake
4 boneless skinless chicken breasts
4 garlic cloves, minced
4 tablespoons brown sugar
3 teaspoons olive oil
Preheat oven to 500°F and lightly grease a casserole dish.
In small sauté pan, sauté garlic with the oil until tender.
Remove from heat and stir in brown sugar.
Place chicken breasts in a prepared baking dish and cover with the garlic and brown sugar mixture.
Add salt and pepper to taste.
Bake uncovered for 15-30 minutes.

Quesdilla Smores
Preheat oven to 350
Melt 2 tablespoons of butter
Lay a tortilla shell down and spread butter over it. Flip it over so the buttered side is down.
Cut marshmellows in half and spread over the tortilla shell.
Spread chocolate chips next.
Place another tortilla shell on top, spread butter over it and bake for 7 minutes or until golden brown. YUM! This is kid friendly, so they can help make it as well :)

Homemade Tortilla chips
Turn skillet onto medium. You will need corn tortilla shells(soft).
Cook oil until HOT. Tear a little crumb from a shell. If it floats to the top the oil is hot. Cut your shells in half. Then in half again. Almost like a pizza. To the size of a chip you want. Cook until golden and crispy. Take out of pan and sprinkle both sides with salt.
There you go! Simple tortilla chips for nachos, chips and salsa or whatever!

HOMEMADE POTATO CHIPS
Peel as many potatoes as you want(if you want a lot of chips or just some). Slice thin slices. Thinner than paper thin.
Preheat your oven to 325.
Spray PAM or brush the potatoe slices with oil.
Cook for 5 minutes. Some may take longer. Take out the ones that are turning golden colored. Sprinkle your seasoning on them while they are. Any seasoning you like. Make them your own! And there you are. A simple yet tasty snack.

Beef stew meat meal
Beef stew is a good meal. Have you ever used the beef meat in other ways?
There is a marinade called SIGNATURE STEAKHOUSE. I can't remember the maker but just look for that.
Place the beef stew meat in a skillet. No oil.
Place the heat on 4-5 right under medium.
Pour the sauce over the meat until there is a small layer underneath of the meat.
Cook until meat is cooked through(about 15-20 minutes) Keep stirring.
You want to cook it until meat is done and all the sauce is cooked up.
Cook your favorite sides to go with it. My family(not me) like asparagus fried in butter. So I cook that with it. Enjoy!
Use your own marinade if you like. Make it your own!

BACON WRAPPED CHICKEN WITH ROASTED POTATOES
Preheat oven to 375*
Pick 1-3 seasonings to sprinkle over your chicken(I use 1 only)
Roll it up into a ball like shape(kind of hard but you will see)
Wrap the bacon around it and stick a toothpick in it to secure it

Take about 4 large potatoes and peel them and cut them into 1/4 size
In a large bowl mix 2 tablespoons oil, parsley, garlic powder, basil.
Toss in potatoes and coat the potatoes in the oil mixture.
Place chicken and potatoes in oven for 25-30 minutes and there you go!
